ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Hours:  40 a week; 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday

$15 an hour

Care & Share is seeking an Administrative Assistant. Interested persons should excel in the following top 5 criteria:

This ability comes from knowing everything that’s happening—the Administrative team, the departments and the organization as a whole—as well as with being aware of the status of every ongoing project. Being detail-oriented and proactive allows you to remain self-possessed no matter what kind of pressure leadership is under.
  4. Excellent Communication Skills:  You are often the first person to greet clients, customers and vendors. You represent the “face” of Care & Share and Mennonite Central Committee.  As the organization’s go-to person, the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively face-to-face, on the phone, as well as in reports, memos, client communications, even routine emails, is vital.  Our customer base is broad!  Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply!
  5. Willingness to go the extra mile:  You are willing to learn. You stay abreast of new procedures, technologies and software. You are an independent thinker who never needs hand-holding. Should you become overwhelmed, you prioritize, delegate, then proactively follow up. You are tireless when it comes to resolving problems, averting crisis, and fulfilling commitments, even in the face of significant push-back.

Hours:                    40; Saturdays and occasional Evenings

Pay Rate:               $10.00 an hour

We are searching for an individual with enthusiasm to assist in receiving donations!    

Apply if you are friendly, high energy, proven communicator who enjoys working with people.  

This position requires someone to work outside in all types of weather, who is a focused and an organized individual.  The ability to motivate volunteers and staff and to lead by example are key qualifications. Physically able to move up to 100lbs, and remain standing for long periods of time.

RETAIL ASSOCIATE

Start date:          Immediately

Hours:                24 hours a week; Saturdays; occasional Thursday and Friday evenings

Hourly Rate:        $10

We are searching for someone with experience and enthusiasm to assist in the daily retail operations of the Furniture Shoppe!  This position requires a high energy, customer service focused, organized individual who will support retail operations through customer service and arranging and moving furniture on the sales floor.  Occasional scheduling between the sales floors of the Furniture and Clothing Shoppes, as business requires. The ability to motivate volunteers and to lead by example are key qualifications. Physically able to move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 lbs, and remain standing for long periods of time.  

Preference given to those with retail experience.

SHIPPING ASSOCIATE

Hours:           24 hours a week; mornings, including Saturdays

Pay rate:        $10 an hour

We are seeking an organized individual who will assist management in efficiently and safely shipping goods sold and maintaining our inventory.  This position requires a motivated computer-competent individual who can work mornings five days a week (including some Saturdays) to ensure that our online customers’ orders are shipped in a timely and effective manner.  This job requires being on your feet and able to move up to 25 lbs. multiple times an hour.  This person will also perform other support functions in the department as directed.
